Shadowing 4/28-5/2

When shadowing Jim this week, he showed me evaluation forms that senior consultants had to fill out for regular consultants. There was one for remote sites and one for working at main/nrr2.  Site managers have to fill one out for every consultant working at their remote site and every senior consultant also have to fill them out if he or she is working with the regular consultant at main or via SB connect during the hours they work.  The Jim went over closing procedures with me.  He told me to make sure all lights are off and all doors are closed. Then go to box press 1,2,3,4 then press 1 (for yes disarmed) and 2 (select all) then go out and scan your ID and wait until click.  Make sure after the click to check all doors to make sure they are locked (the main one, the commuter lounge one and the one near the faculty center).  For opening procedure, swipe card open but make sure lights are on or until 8AM because alarm would ring. In case anything goes wrong regarding the alarms, call Rose because she has remote access to the alarms.

At Help Desk, Diane ask me question regarding if I am ready to be a senior consultant and it got me thinking.  I feel like I am not ready, but I know my information.  Diane said its just because I am nervous and once I get over that stage, everything will be okay.  I also continued to man the main desk at NRR2 and answer phone calls, emails and chats when needed.

For Ruhi, we talked reviewed a lot and talked about how shadowing was going and everything.  We made a lot of rounds around main because it was during a busy hour.  I was able to check someones ID by using the card machine and then I helped a user with color printing.  Besides that I took attendance through SB connect and manned the desk.
