- Our project is to create a device that will decrease the risk of developing a pocket hematoma, a critical condition which can occur following the implantation of a cardiac device.
- We researched how pocket hematoma is currently treated, and found out that compression is mainly what is used to prevent pocket hematoma from occurring.
- We found the leading model on the market, which was a compression vest.
- Our design is a vest which can deliver custom compression to the affected area.
