Our project is focused on creating a design to decrease the formation of pocket hematomas due to pacemakers and defibrillator sites. The goal of the design is to create an experience where compression will be directly applied upon the pocket hematoma, but the rest of the vest will be a more breathable material where the user will be able to freely move the rest of their body. Our design consists of a two-layered vest, that will be adjusted to fit body size with nylon straps, and a zipper, that will be used to put on and take off the vest. There will be a removable pressure disk that will be placed anywhere within the two layers, and will allow the user to place the disk anywhere on the upper body such that pressure is applied directly to the pocket hematoma.
