You can display different types of artwork on the exhibition website. Regarding video or audio files, we recommend you upload your materials to, for example, YouTube or SoundCloud, then embed the link to your uploaded content to the post.
This is an example of John Smith who is preparing his 5 JPEG artworks for the online exhibition.
Ask your instructor how many pieces you can exhibit.
- Create a folder with your FirstName_LastName ( John_Smith ) on the local machine.
Make sure to use ( _ ) underscore instead of space in the folder name.
- Prepare the following files.
- John_Smith_01.jpg
- John_Smith_02.jpg
- John_Smith_03.jpg
- John_Smith_04.jpg
- John_Smith_05.jpg
- John_Smith_feature.jpg
- John_Smith_List.docx
- John_Smith.docx
- The file names ending in 01 – 05 are your main images.
- Prepare each JPEG file size to be smaller than 1MB.
- For landscape orientation, the width should be no smaller than 1,920 pixels.
- For portrait orientation, the height should be no larger than 1,920 pixels.
- For square shape, the dimension is 1,920 x 1,920 pixels.
- If you want to keep the original scale smaller than 1,920 pixels, you can keep the size.
- John_Smith_feature.jpg is for the thumbnail image on the front page of the class.
- Pick one of your submitted works (e.g. 01-05) and crop or reduce the size to 600 (w) x 400 (h) pixels.
- Even if your original artwork is smaller than 600 x 400 px, please create a 600 (w) x 400 (h) pixels JPEG file.
- John_Smith_List.docx is a list of your artwork and artwork information. Keep the information in one line and divide them with commas.
- John_Smith.docx is an artist statement or thesis statement.
