About Hope For Youth

Hope For Youth has been serving the youth, and their families, on Long Island for over 50 years. Hope For Youth has dedicated its time to facilitate positive change in the lives of children, adolescents, and families. They are able to do this by providing stable, nurturing, residential care, foster care, preventative, and out-patient programs. Part of the work they do includes the transportation of youth to school, appointments, the Hope For Youth main office, work, recreational activities, and court.

Mission Statement

The problem we are trying to solve with this project is updating Hope For Youth’s pen and paper reservation system with a new and up-to-date virtual reservation system. We will first identify all the vehicles the organization owns and available for employee use.  Another task this system must complete is recording all the necessary information by the user to book the reservation (I.e., name, date, reason for reservation, etc.). This system will also be available from all devices and update in real-time, allowing the vehicle availability to always be up-to-date and be accessible from any device.
