Business insider explains that the green dress Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammy’s sparked enough controversy for google to invent it’s image based search engine. Here we can see how individual users quest for specific content builds new technologies.
- Google images releases its content based on what is most relevant to the search. To find this information, it uses data analysis of what people search, placing its most popular results as its top images. What might this google image search reveal about what our culture defines as “beautiful?”
