Walk

Macau is the place where I grew up. I have been living here for 20 years. Since Macau is a very small city, instead of taking the train or driving a car, usually I prefer walking to get to places. In this project, I use the form of lines to present/record the walking routines I have in Macau using my memory to do so.

My walking routines in Macau:

  • Home – my work place
  • Home – my grandmother home
  • Home – my father’s home
  • Home – Pet shop that I used to go
  • Home – supermarket
  • My Running Routines

My hope in this project is to explore the relationship between my memory and my city. See if I am that familiar with my city, or if I would forget some parts of it. The most exciting part of the project is that I have no idea what the final work would look like, and they would be abstract drawings (using pencils 2B, 4B, 6B), and they would be  5 drawings of lines.
