Spring 2021 – Independent Study project

I plan to complete a semester-long independent study project in photography, with creative outcomes in the form of a major art project such as a website.

Human & Nature

At present, some people may think that man and nature are inherently contradictory, but think about it from another perspective, man is also a part of nature, and man and nature can actually find a good balance and coordination mode. The balance point between humans and nature is the way to let each other live and grow together. Once broken, both lose.
Back in ancient times, when people did not know the rain, wind, lightning, and thunder, most of nature, they prefer to take what they get as a gift from nature, and nature as one. With the progress of the times and the development of science and technology, human beings leap from the unknown to the top of the food chain, with the hunting rifle in the hands of the “king” position. Humans with a hunting rifle in their hands to do whatever they want, with guns aimed at all the challenges to human beings have a threat, as much as possible to obtain more benefits. However, people need to thought about the future will have to pay the price, have thought about how many sacrifices should not have to happen.
Humans constantly understand nature, transform it, use it, and then live in peace with it.

Perhaps the greatness of human being is that in a small heart there is a world as wide as heaven and earth

Human emotions can’t find beautiful expression in nature
Or maybe, humans and nature are originally one and the same.

Some people might say it’s human self-righteousness

Compared to nature, human is a small grain of sand, which is not necessary.

However, what the world is trying to tell us is perhaps not awe, is integrated into.

Because we are part of nature

The earth is vast because of stones, the star river floats with stars to be vast. Stones and stars are not independent individuals, are part of the whole nature.

So we, are also a part of this

人类伟大之处也许就是在小小的心中却装着与天地同宽的世界吧

人类的七情六欲不能在自然中找到绮丽的展现

或者说 人与自然 原本就是一心同体

也许有人会说这是人类的自以为是

比起自然 人类就一颗小沙粒 可有可无

但是 世界想告诉我们的也许不是敬畏

而是融入

因为我们 原本也是自然的一员

大地因石头而辽阔 星河浮有繁星才浩瀚

石头、繁星并不是独立的个体 而是整个自然的一部分

所以我们

也是这辽阔与浩瀚的一员
