Study of Textures in Acrylic Painting

My plan for this independent study with professor Howardena Pindell is to study and create paintings of objects in different materials and textures, and also to show the differences between different materials and textures when they are in lights and shadows. I plan to paint on 24in x 30in canvas, the objects in each painting will be glass bottles, animal fur, tree barks, and a metal kettle.

My goal for this project is to practice my painting skills on objects and lights and shadows with advice from Prof. Pindell, and I want my viewers to be able to find interest in different materials that act differently under lights and shadows.
