Project #3 – Sleep: “The Dream of Djinn” and “Djinn Against Dragon”

I knew I wanted to do something pertaining to dreams for this project, as a weird dream I had recently gave me the idea to make a drawing about the dreams of one of my characters, and this was my opportunity to make it happen. Initially, I didn’t plan for it to be a two-part drawing, but my research for this project ultimately inspired me to make it so with the addition of a part two based on what I found. What I found was that dreams could prepare us for social situations or even threatening ones, so I knew what I was going to make with that in mind and the characters I would have appear. Here, when the character Wriglina has a dream of facing off with a dragon one night, she’s inadvertently prepared for something similar that day when she battles the imposing dragon known as Krossfyre.
