My view for the world in 2036 makes two major changes to the way we experience life today. One big problem in the world is the issue of overpopulation. There are too many people living on Earth for the resources that we have available. There are many solutions that have been proposed including other sources of energy, but eventually the only solution to overpopulation on Earth will be to seek a new place for humanity to live. We have made huge strides in space exploration in the last 5 decades and the next big leap needs to be to move off this planet. In the pieces in my project I am depicting a time when we live on Mars. The images are meant to show a normal house that looks like life on Earth, with the one exception; we are now living on Mars.

The other problem that my project addresses is the fact that we need a way to get to another planet. It also addresses the problem of how long it takes to get from one place to another on Earth. I introduce the idea of teleportation into my pieces. Each room depicted has a teleportation device that could transport an individual to any other place on the planet and to Earth. Transportation is a much smaller issue than overpopulation but is still worth addressing. In my vision for the future, I address both problems and hope that maybe there will be an improvement in one of them by the year 2036.
