I have a BLS credential.  It is an essential for a technologist and involves learning CPR and the various methodologies used in the process (such as AEDs).

ACLS is a designation I was interested in achieving, though I would not need it on the job.  Therefore, I maintained the credential.  It is advanced cardiac life-support and it is far beyond the scope of what the typical technologist would need.
