This week in class, we had a librarian and his intern came in to our class and talking variety of search tools that the library offers. It’s shameful to say, that I do not utilize the database we went over in class that often. But after today’s lecture, I will definitely try and use the resources that I was given to full extent.
For our final presentation, I was paired up with Kristin Lau, together we have to build a Google Site on TLT. We were assigned to interview Chuck Powell, the Assistant Provost for TLT. He was also the former CIO of TLT before Cole Camplese stepped into the office. Kristin and I were both very nervous before the interview. Although we were well prepared and came up with a list of questions that we wanted to ask Chuck, but we were still afraid we will somehow messed up. Fortunately, everything went exactly the way we hoped for. Chuck showed us the new “Class Search” website that allow users to organize their schedule before enroll in the classes on Solar. He also showed us a new “Course Evaluation” that only allow Stony Brook student to comment/rate the professor. So big shoutout to Chuck for being awesome!
