Week 1: Intro to TLT Internship

just-the-beginning

For my first week of internship, I didn’t really know what to expect and how the experience was going to be like. Even though I knew many of the people in the class, it still felt foreign to me. However, despite my uncertainties, I was really looking forward to starting the internship.
In the first class, we went over our goals, responsibilities, expected performance, and had to shadow our senior consultants. It seemed like a lot of work but it was work that I could manage, and also work that I was looking forward to doing! Then, we were told to start writing a Reflective journal on SB You. I’ve never really done serious reflective journalism before. The last time I remember doing something like this was in middle school when an assignment entailed keeping a journal for a little while. I think this kind of reflective journalism is really good for keeping my thoughts clear and gives me a chance to go over what happened during the past week, which is something that I wouldn’t really have done otherwise.

My goal by the end of the first week was to figure everything out and hopefully jumpstart my internship.
