Week 14: Roth Regatta

It’s that time of the year again. Yes say hello to Roth Regatta 2015! This week has been packed with actions, from practicing for my performance coming up on Sunday to building the Roth Regatta boat. Many interns and Senior Consultant came together, and we worked on the boat till 5 AM on the day of Roth Regatta. And by working with each other, we learned about the importance of communication when working on a group project. Through this experience, I was able to really bonded with my fellow classmates and the Senior Consultants. I believe this truly bring unity within the consultants.

In my shadowing hours, I acted as the active Senior Consultant and delegated other consultant. Telling people what to do has always been a difficult task for me. It is probably a result of my cultural background. Growing up I was told to become more independent and not ask others for help unless it is necessary. I know this is a bad habit and I should probably fix it soon because in a few months I will become that person who is responsible for maintaining the SINC Site. And that is no easy task for one person alone.

I am very thankful to be accepted in this internship. It was from this internship, where I discovered many important values in life such as sacrifice, leadership, devotion and many more.
