Chema Madoz was born in 1958 in Madrid, Spain, and his photography is named after the black and white surrealist photography and still life photography works. His style is the black and white minimalism that I love so much.Chema Madoz has also participated in many international art exhibitions. In 2000, Chema Madoz was awarded the National Photography Awards of Spain.

Chema Madoz is good at using his rich imagination to shoot with easily accessible objects from everyday life and to piece together two completely unrelated objects. He believes that there should be infinite possibilities between things, and it is these surreal scenes that make him successfully turn photography into a real art.For example: the bird cage is matched with clouds, and the reflection of the spoon turns into a fork. Although the overall color of the picture is not very bright, the color of black, white and gray alone gives people a strong visual effect. In my opinion, this kind of eyeball impact goes beyond the superficial color, but subverts the viewer’s existing views on the original world through the picture. The art of surrealism also creates interesting visual effects mainly through this subverted concept of reality.

“The fact that I don’t give any thought to The reaction they’ll cause in The Viewer,” Madoz once said. This idea of freedom without limitation makes him a lot of interesting photography art, and this freedom makes him dramatize the common things in life. For example, the clouds in this photo are enclosed in a birdcage. The composition is centered with a wide field of vision. The clouds that give people the feeling of freedom are confined in a cage, just like the idea of freedom wants to break away from traditional art. The beauty of the fusion of black and white also gives a sense of stillness and eternity.
