Final Project – Visual Hallucination

Visual Hallucination

In the final project, I continued the visual hallucination topics I did in the Perception Studies. Hallucinations are sensory experiences that appear real but are created by the mind. People with visual hallucinations may see objects, patterns, or light that are not there. There are many diseases that cause visual hallucinations, such as Psychosis (schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder), Delirium, seizures, and so on.

I continued using Photoshop to layer several photos together trying to show the viewing angle of people who have schizophrenia. Visual hallucinations in those with schizophrenia tend to involve vivid scenes with family members, religious figures, and animals. Reactions to these visions can vary and include fear, pleasure, or indifference.
