My photography project is inspired by the Case of the Colorblind Painter. Mr. I got into a car accident which left him completely colorblind. After sixty-five years of seeing color normally, he had become colorblind. What’s more intriguing is that this case happened to an artist. His paintings which were full of life now looked dull and depressing. Just everyday things that he experienced were not the same. The skies that were once a deep blue were now almost white. He had a horrible relationship with food as the dull colors were so unappetizing that he would often eat with his eyes closed. Rainbows were just a dull semicircle in the sky. He had a better relationship with objects that were black and white. At least things in those colors seemed more normal to him.
