Teju Cole is a writer, photographer and photography critic of New York Times. Not only he criticizes photography, but also reveals the inner connection and emotion between pictures and photographers. And also, he reflects the meaning to the society level. In one of his articles “Peter Funch Sees the Patterns in the People on the Street”, he mention “Funch’s project is a feat of both patience and memory. But it is also a record of the many individual rhythms that collectively make up city life.” Cole always uses quotes and other artists’ project to enhance the subject. In his instagram, there are posts of ambiguous paintings, sometime with captions. He writes in his website: “On my Instagram page, I experiment daily with words and images.” Which shows he has been continuously thinking, exploring and making conclusions.
