Statement:

When I was on winter vacation, I applied for a volunteer for the Home of Stray Dogs in my hometown. All the dogs there were once abandoned and wandering in the city. These dogs need volunteer care or donations. They need a real home even more. If someone has an idea to own a dog, please adopt it instead of buying it. I don’t think posters on this theme need to have impact colors. The posters I designed are all light colors, which can give people a lovely and warm feeling. And the uniform color of different shades is used, which makes the whole picture more harmonious. It is very important to reflect the love of people in the poster, so I used love under the theme slogan. There is also a red heart on the villain in the lower right corner. The word “adopt” is the focus of the entire poster. I circled him with a red pen because it is more eye-catching. The contrast between sad animals and happy animals in the house reflects the importance of home to pets. There are semi-transparent paw prints on the light blue background, so that the whole picture is not too monotonous. The little man with open arms was designed and modified many times by me. I have been thinking about it for a long time from the abstract and colorful at the beginning to the final draft with the same style as other illustrations.

The design of all images is done by myself. I used Adobe Photoshop to draw the paw prints of the background. All other pictures are drawn by me with the pen tool of Adobe Illustrator, which is interesting and challenging for me. I designed the font in Illustrator. The font changed from black at the beginning to a more beautiful blue with a sense of design. I used shadows and borders on the text to make them more three-dimensional. This can be more integrated into the entire poster.
