1. Project Title

Animationwatch

2. Proposal

I wanted to explore what kind of emotion the resulting photo takes when I just document the event. The different between my experience and my feeling of taking the photo. I want to explore whether photography is a good way to record and share my feelings if it will change or not.

I wanted to record the scene when I was having dinner with my friends. Every night after the sun goes down, my roommates and I come home from school. We would buy meals from outside and eat together at a round table. When we eat, we use iPads to watch anime. I usually watch anime seriously and discuss anime content with them. A friend of mine likes to play on his phone while watching anime, but he looks up at anime content based on feedback from me and another friend. For example, when we yelled, he would wait until it was a key scene or a great shot.

3. Outcomes:

10-20 photos, including characters and scenery, can all be the representative of my good memories. I will use my first person perspective to take the photo. When the audience sees these photos, they bring in my character and experience how I feel. Finally, I will record my feelings at the time and my thoughts and feelings when I see the photos again in words, and compare these two things. I came to the final conclusion that maybe it has to do with being in the moment, because I think the thoughts and feelings I think and feel when looking at the photos are different from what I experience myself.

[My theme will be friendship, and the connection I have with my friends. I wanted to document an interesting incident with them to summarize who they are and how important they are to me. They are very friendly. When I first wanted to document my roommates watching anime with the theme, I found it difficult to reflect our friendship. This is not a special event. Watching anime is a bit difficult for me to keep track of. At this time, my friends invited me to have dinner at their house because Sister Wang had finished her heavy work for a while. I’m also thinking about how to embody the “record” feature and use that feature to reflect my connection with friends.]

4. Methods and Materials:

Record by photography. The tools needed are cameras and a computer.
