As much as modern photography makes the art of capturing moments much easier, essentially with fast shutter speed rendering photography less intimate, personallly photgraphy and videography has brought me to appreciate the humanity in people more. I’ve been much more involved with campus clubs from last semester up until now, and I plan on continuing my involvement. At these club events, I take many pictures of the people in the club as well as the people who come to our events. These moments that I take pictures has made me feel much closer with them, capturing the “aha” moments and sharing the feelings my subjects feel at the spot. Photography has brought me to be happier with the little things in life, and has made me appreciate the humanity in everything. I really enjoy the saying how photography captures a moment of embarrassment for a lifetime of memories. Everytime I snap a picture of someone smiling on their own I get to feel happy myself, and that’s the positive change that photography has brought to me.
