LEE FRIEDLANDER
Lee Friedlander was born in Washington on July 14th, 1934. He was a photographer that photographed the American social landscape since 1948, and was known for his visual urban language. As a child, he earned pocket money from photography from the age of 14. He studied photography at the Art Center College of design in Pasadena, California. Many of his photos appeared on Playboy magazine, and he uses a Leica 35 mm black and white film camera. Friedlander’s work contained primarily “detached social landscape.” A variety of his photos contained store-front reflections, fence structures, street signs, and posters.
