In 2011 he switched to motorsport photography and is known for his colorful photos. He currently photographs IMSA (International Motor Sports Association), Endurance Racing, as well as F1 (Formula One Racing), and has photographed for many famous races such as Le Mans 24, Nurburgring 24, and the Daytona and Indy 500.  He has appeared on various magazines such as Top Gear, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN, and utilizes various lenses ranging from f1.4 to f4, and various focal length lens ranging from 70 to 500 mm (https://www.jameypricephoto.com/). He currently holds the Lamborghini Super North America Series Photographer award and has also won Motorsport Photographer of the Year.

My interest for Price stemmed from my passion for motorsports, as well as my preference to photographing in wider apertures. It is impressive to be able to catch shots at high speeds as well as grabbing tight headshots. Below are some photos from Formula One Racing.

  1. I really admire the slower shutter speed he utilizes in his photography to encapsulate how dynamic the races are. Furthermore, I find it fascinating that he took two passions, being photography and racing and implemented a career with it. Nonetheless, the color scheme in many of these photos feel intimate to how racing is conducted, and allow the viewer to get in the action.
