  1. Hello! I really enjoyed looking through your work and I think you have great photos. I think your first image for project 2 is amazing. The quality is very good and the composition is so cool. The background looks like a painting and then the focus on the one flower is so cool. I love how experimental your photos are!

  2. I think you did a great job on this project because of the composition of each of the photographs. The photo I like the most in this series is the one with the lavender flower and the butterfly. I think that this photograph also shows the beauty and simplicity of nature.

  3. Hello, great work on your midterm overall! Out of all of your projects, this one is my favorite. From a technical perspective, your first image has a lot of amazing qualities. The shallow depth of field you display is wonderful as it brings the viewer’s attention to the purple flower as well as the white butterfly flying away from it. In doing so, you create this blurry background that feels very whimsical and dreamy. That combined with the colors of your photo makes the image look very easy on the eye. I’d be very interested in seeing a full set of similar nature photographs from you. Looking forward to your final project!

  4. Hey John, well done with your apparatus photographs. It was interesting to hear how you, and your subject, achieved the blurred effect over the motorcycle in images 2 and 3. These photos are very reminiscent of official photographs within motorsports. My favorite photo definitely has to be the fourth one. It reminds me of a scene straight out of the movie AKIRA. Your first subject of light photograph is also really powerful. The image being blurred made it very surreal which helped to add a new layer of intrigue to the photo.
