Clumped Isotopes of Atmospheric Carbon Monoxide

Along with Professor Greg Henkes in the Department of Geosciences at Stony Brook University, we are investigating the presence of multiply substituted isotopologues of atmospheric carbon monoxide. Because of the unique reaction mechanism of the CO+OH reaction, we suspect there exists a significant kinetic isotope effect associated with the clumped isotopes that deviates significantly from the stochastic distribution. This project is funded by the National Science Foundation.
