The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art (aka The Met) in New York City contacted us in 2021 to see if we would be able to help quantify emissions from cases and/or collections within their massive facility. So we hauled our PTR-TOFMS to The Met in July 2021 and evaluated the abundances of various volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This ongoing project has so far yielded some very interesting and unique results, particularly from the Met’s Mummy collections.
