Project Two: Still Life

Inspired by the foliage all around me at the Stony Brook Greenhouse, I wanted to capture all the different patters I of the stems of the many different plants. I wanted the pattern to be the focus point of my image series and so I felt that black-&-white photography would be a good medium to showcase the images.

As I began the post-editing, I began to miss the greenery that surrounded me when I was shooting and that was apparently missing. Through a very complex (I probably made it harder than it had to be) process I was able to extract the greenery and also showcase it in my series below.
