PROJECT 5: Perception Studies

Face blindness:

Prosopagnosia: also known as face blindness or facial agnosia is a neurological disorder characterized by the inability to recognize faces.

this neurological disorder makes it difficult for people to remember faces, even those of family and friends. People can be born with this disorder and can also develop it later in life, its symptoms can range from very mild to incredibly debilitating and some people with the disorder even have trouble recognizing their own reflections in the mirror.

Imagine, trying to go a day without being able to see people’s faces, it would be incredibly frustrating wouldn’t it, instead of using the most recognizable feature of a person’s body you would instead have to play a game of guess who and try and figure out who the person is based on other distinguishing features, this is the reality of people who suffer from Prosopagnosia.
