Just Another Day
Through this narrative series, I hoped to provide a glimpse into the life of children who have alcoholic parents. I chose to present this series in black & white rather than color since I recreated memories and it felt more personal. Throughout the series, you will experience an average day’s events. As the sun goes down, you hear things stirring downstairs. Even though you are a child, you are often dragged into situations. So, you pretend to sleep. In the morning, it is often up to you to pick up the pieces. You experience the same feelings of disconnect everyday: from your both parents and peers. Still, things go back to “normal” and everything is left unspoken; until the next evening.
