I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) Lab at the Linguistics Department, Chulalongkorn University, supervised by Attapol Rutherford. I am also a part-time lecturer teaching syntax (and other syntax-related courses) here at Chula. Prior to coming to Chula, I earned a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stony Brook University, advised by Francisco Ordóñez. I also worked under the guidance of Daniel Finer, Jiwon Yun, and Peter Jenks, who served as my esteemed committee members for my dissertation. My dissertation explores the structural relation between nouns and their modifying materials that occur in a “displaced” position (i.e. a position non-adjacent to the modified noun) in Thai.

Apart from my work at Chula’s NLP lab, which focuses on developing a robust NLP infrastructure for Thai, I am also interested in theoretical and experimental syntax. My work concentrates on understanding the structure and interpretation of different types of noun phrases in Thai, and attempts to gauge such linguistic knowledge using experimental methods. My current research projects can be found on the research page.
