Education: B.A. in English with Secondary Education Certification from Stony Brook University; M.A. in English with a certificate in Writing and Rhetoric from Stony Brook University
 
Biography: Professor Towers-Kubik has taught in many capacities at many different academic locations across Long Island. She worked for 7 years total at the high-school level at West Islip High School, Sachem North High School, Sachem East High School, and North Shore Hebrew Academy High School. At the latter two locations, she founded and coordinated Writing Centers, working with students at all grade levels, setting up workshops for tutors, and overseeing tutoring appointments with peer tutors. In addition, she has worked for many colleges for a total of 11 years including Suffolk Community College, Nassau Community College, Queensborough Community College, Farmingdale State College, and Stony Brook University. She has taught courses ranging from Beginner to Intermediate Writing, Technical Writing, and Introduction to Literature. In addition to her passion for teaching, Professor Towers-Kubik writes creatively on her own time under a pseudonym. She has had articles and poems published in various forums including Read Only Magazine, a Long Island-based video-game magazine, and Bangs, a Canadian-based zine. She is also currently working on final edits for her debut novel and will seek publication opportunities in 2025.
