A Brief Statement on Shadows and Silhouettes
Shadows are often overlooked. We always pay more attention to the details of a person’s face, but what about their outline, their shape, and their figure. That in itself can tell a story of love, pain, joy, success, failure or any other kind of emotion we feel. There is an element of curiosity in shadows and silhouettes. Although silhouettes do not capture facial expressions head on, what is going on in the subject’s mind is up to the viewer. They can choose to write the story of the silhouette or become and embrace their own story of the figure. The choice is yours.
