Imogen Cunningham
Imogen Cunningham’s work on nature is captivating and inspiring because she is able to capture plants in a way that gives them a personality. Her framing and composition of these two featured photographs centers and enlarges the botanicals which is often seen as small in the human eyes. There is a dramatic aspect that carries through her black and white work found in the opposing contrast of her work along with her use of shadows and the sharpness of details that is captured.
