This piece is intended to raise social awareness about the impact of plastic pollution on beaches. By choosing to purchase single-use plastics, you are choosing to endanger the life of an animal in the ocean, and in turn threatening the livelihood of those that depend on fish as a source of food. This project was created in collaboration with the Long Island Explorium to “embrace collaborative community dialogue through art on the critical issue of environmental impact on marginalized communities”.
