Together is the only way to become better. Divided we stand united we fall, united we stand we wont fall. As a nation and a society we are very divided. Unity is in equality and ultimate equality is the ultimate goal. Any structure stands stronger with a strong solid united base. A weaker base isn’t put together well, isn’t united and all parts aren’t equal and equally contributing. Structures this way usually fall. There a lot of protest currently happening I think in the future protest will reach a high effectiveness if different people are uniting for the cause. When people who are from different beliefs and backgrounds find a way to understand and be considerate more positive energy can come from it. The force behind a united voice can really make a change and force people in power to understand and become the change the people want to see.
Another goal is acceptance of the flaws this country has from a racial standpoint. Problems range from racial injustice, and mass incarceration to racism in government. I think the proper politicians out of office and an open mind can lead to doors opening for great change. Those changes are cracking down on racial injustice and police brutality, funding for under privileged minorities through organizations already in place and also laying a platform for African Americans in government. This country has various different cultures and races it’d make more sense if other backgrounds and African Americans were better represented with more voices in government.
In the end a far fetched hopeful fantasy is the country having an African American president even a woman president. The goal is complete equality. Michelle Obama is qualified in so many ways that would make her perfect for office. Her race and gender shouldn’t affect whether or not shed be elected. However in order for this to be reached there needs to be acceptance, understandings between different backgrounds and the government not turning a blind eye but taking a stand towards a topic as simple but important as equality.
