La Jetée is a film only consist of photograph, text on frame sound effect and voice over. The film is unique as there is no moving image throughout the entire film. The story are told through the voiceover and the emotion of this film are amplified by the still image. In filmmaking people use a technique called froze frame. Where the last frame of the footage got expanded to a few seconds. This helps enlarge the emotion of the shot. I believe in this film, where there is only photograph, they are achiving the same effect. In this film there is only highlights of the emotion and nothing else can be seen.
