One way I believe media has brought a positive change and improvement to society is through the use of children’s media. I always believed that kids are very receptive to art and media, and helps them with their growing minds. Of course it depends on what you show to them, but I think children’s cartoons have allowed me and many other people to understand the world a bit more, and in a way that was fun to me. Whenever I babysit I notice the things that little children learn from art, animation, and video. They learn how to sing, how to count, how to say the alphabet, and even how to treat others kindly, through visuals. They also learn quite a lot of scientific and historical facts simply from children’s programs. There have also been consequences to children’s media that is not what society wants, like Elsagate, and hollywoods exploitation of children’s TV or movie stars. There is a power in children’s media that can be dangerous for children. However, It’s a wonderful tool for developing minds if used in an educational and heartwarming manner. This is a way that media has brought a positive improvement in the education and growth of children and society.
