Hi there, my name is Leon Zhang and I’m an Applied Math Major senior. I’ve had several modeling experiences, including collaboration with the SBU Photography Club, but I’ve never studied photography skills or techniques before. It was not until I saw the Big Picture World Photography Competition in 2019 that I was amazed by the excellent photography works, expert photographers control light and color, and freeze beautiful moments in the pictures as it was done by magic. I’m excited to learn basic camera operation methods and picture editing from ARS-281, that it was not only for academic success but also to cultivate my passion for photography.
