Use Cases

There are three specific use cases for the LIM Information and Wayfinding App.

User Query on Website

Users such as teachers and students will be able to query the LIM website for basic information they might need while planning a trip. This would include museum hours, specific exhibits, special programs and activities, etc.

Visitor Query at Kiosk

Visitors will use the iPad kiosks to query certain information and screens which will then display with the projection systems. Visitors can query featured exhibits, historical background on certain pieces, important historical figures featured in the museum, upcoming events, etc.

Web-Based Administrative Interface

Administrators, specifically the museums staff, will have their own separate interface that will allow them to update, add, or delete entries in the museum database. They will be able to add or edit new records and events as they come up, which will then update the projection system allowing users to query them on the museum website or kiosk.
