Buffalo photographs at Holtsville Ecology Site and Riverhead Farm

I have researched the Buffalo and some endangered species that I have looked up online and in person at the Ecology Site in Holtsville, NY. I Will be going to Riverhead to photograph the Buffalo and film with my Iphone and tripod. I have some literature on the Buffalo and how it was an endangered species at one time and how they have come back in numbers. The Buffalo is an interesting subject because it looks so unfamiliar in everyday life. Like a dog or a cat it is not considered a pet. But has roamed in the midwest for sometime in the past and is trying to make a come back in the United States. I will talk about the history of where they came from and how they were becoming extinct and then becoming back with works cited material. I have to go back to the Ecology site because there is only one there and when I went I did not get to see the Buffalo because he was hiding behind his shelter and I could not see him.

  1. My comment is that I would like to do more endangered species but the Buffalo was brought up and so I know I need to choose one instead of others. The background information is very interesting and the Buffalo is being harvested in Riverhead for restaurants to eat the Buffalo meat which is much healthier then beef made of burgers or steaks.
