Abstract

The project’s theme is designing an efficient lower limb prosthesis to overcome some of the significant challenges faced by people with amputation. The problem to be addressed is that the user experiences discomfort and inefficiency with using currently available models of prosthetic lower limbs.

Our proposed solution consolidates advanced materials with design techniques to create a prosthetic that can provide better mobility, less skin irritation, and better wearability. The design involves an outer shell of waterproof material to protect it from external environmental factors and make prosthetics inclusively acceptable for different heavy activities.
