PROJECT 2- MESSAGE AND ABSTRACTION

Photos 1-3 are taking from the Nigeria Culture of Marriage. The message is to show the least variation and differences in the dressing and cultures within Nigeria. Marriage to most people is a cause for a great celebration and people always show up with their best attire as well as spend their life savings. I for one, I’m from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria , but I have friends and families across the major tribes of Nigeria. A Wedding in the Nigeria community is the best place you can ever be.

The Jollof Rice – The Debate- ISO 1300, 1/10,f/22 27mm.Canon EOS Rebel T7

Although just an orange looking rice, The Jolly Rice has been a very debatable topic in some African countries. Originated from Senegal during the 14th -16th Century, Jollof rice quickly became a wide known dish in the African society. Many countries adapted the looks and concept but added their own unique texture and flavor to it. The outcome of the taste comes down to which part of the country you are in, and this is what caused the huge debate in 2018 on social media. Some people believed that the Nigerians have the best Jollof rice , while the Ghanians believe that they do. When there was no winner from this painful arguments , an organization decided to take it upon themselves to organize a one round intrastate Jollof rice competition, with each representation from both countries. At the end of the competition, it turned out the judges liked the Ghana jollof better, but the Nigerians did not agree with this verdict with the argument  that the lady who represented Nigeria was not an expert in making the dish.
