During the building process, I tackled the design the best way I knew which was drawing it.

The mannequin would be normal height, clothed, and most likely lightweight for easy to carrying around. I drew the concept up as I would draw characters by starting with the basic shapes. Instead of adding facial details and other features, I broke the body down into the joints and body sections.

I was going to build him from cardboard, tape, and hot glue, but I was going to need to include wire into the structure. The wire was to bend the arms in the position I wanted and keep it in that desired position.

It was rather difficult to begin the project, getting into the mindset to work on it was difficult but also where to begin building. Since this idea was a mannequin, I looked up how mannequins were made, I found a “Do It Yourself” site to make a mannequin at home. These types of mannequins were for sewing needs but were a good start for the body shape.

I found someone to cover me in duct tape while I wore a garbage bag. They cut me out with scissors going down my back, I taped it back together and continued this process for the rest of the body.
