Lisa Yun

YunProfessor Lisa Yun is currently the Associate Professor for the English Department at Binghamton University. She received her B.A. from Yale University and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas. She is the former Associate Director and Acting Director of the Asian and Asian American Studies. Her areas of interest includes: Asian Diasporas of the Americas, Black and Asian Comparative Studies and Creative Writing. She is the author of the book The Coolie Speaks: Chinese Indentured Laborers and African Slaves in Cuba along with various academic articles. Also, she is the founder of the Community Internship Program, now known as the Community Engagement Program at Binghamton University. Professor Yun will be one of the presenters at the Marvels & Monsters Symposium.
