SOC 201- Statistical Methods in Sociology

“Statistics Methods in sociology” is a course that focuses on statistical applications in social research. We learn to analyze data and determine the statistical significance. As a TA, I had the responsibility of helping students outside of class. I was responsible for reviewing course materials with students to guide them towards a better understanding of the scenarios posed in the homework. I was also tasked with providing supplemental material to better 

SOC 371- Gender and Work

“Gender and Work” is a course that explores gender differences in workforce participation and occupational attainment as they have changed throughout U.S. history. I Helped students with readings and lectures that focus on the historical and contemporary experience of American men and women, including differences by ethnicity and class. Other responsibilities included evaluating student papers and assisting in TA-lead lectures.

Research Assistant

Bronx Community College: Participatory Action Research (Psychology Department)

Helped with the gathering of information for Institutional Review Board protocol preparation, helped with collection of data for preparation of research reports, and assisted with minor data analysis by means of SPSS software. Researched and wrote three blogs or policy briefs weekly.
