Bio:
Michael Loncar is an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) professional with over 25 years of university teaching experience teaching academic writing, composition, speech & presentation, computer-assisted language learning (CALL), literature, linguistics, and creative writing both in the USA and Taiwan.
He has a BA from Miami University (English/History/Classics), an MFA in Creating Writing (Poetry) from the University of Michigan, and a PhD. In Linguistics & Language Learning from Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan.
His creative work includes a book of poems (“66 galaxie”), numerous short films, and a number of songs, EPs, and albums.
His academic research is focused on language learning, academic writing, collaborative learning, educational technology (asynchronous online discussion), CALL, and technology-mediated writing feedback and peer review.
