About Me

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Spring 2022, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Korean Studies. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Stony Brook University.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn in a two working parent household and a younger sister. I have been in NYC practically all of my life, went to elementary and middle school in brooklyn, high school in manhattan, and college in long island.

As a second generation immigrant, I have listened to the struggles and opportunities that New York City had welcomed our family with. Wanting to give back to the community that raised me, I have actively interacted with the younger generations. As the president of the SBU chapter of Biomedical Engineering Society for three years, I led my team to host outreach events at high school, exposing them to potential careers in STEM and specifically biomedical engineering. I am passionate about helping students from underserved and under-resourced populations overcome academic anxiety and find joy in STEM.

I am an aspiring physician with interests in pediatrics and anesthesiology. I plan on conducting translational research in medical school, bridging the gap between bench and bedside.
