  • Students will use a number line to relate subtraction to division.

 

4. Division using Arrays:

Goals:

  • Students will be able to model an array for a division problem.
  • Students will be able to identify the multiplication fact families within the array.

 

5. Relating Division to Multiplication:

Goals:

  • Students will understand the meaning of Inverse Operations.
  • Students will use bar models to relate multiplication and division problems as Inverse operations.
  • Students will use arrays to relate multiplication and division problems as Inverse operations.

 

6. Writing Related Facts:

Goals:

  • Students will understand the terms related facts, factor, and product.
  • Students will be able to write related multiplication and division facts.
