Paint Night

 Hey everyone! To destress after the first batch of midterms, we’ve decided to host a paint night. Pick up a canvas, mix some paint, and get to know members of the Neuroscience Axis! Come join us this Wednesday, 7 PM at Life Sciences 038 to paint and listen to music. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dr. Evinger’s Presentation

Hello everyone! This week we are going to have Dr. Craig Evinger present his research on Parkinson’s disease. He will make a brief presentation followed by time for questions. Come out if you’re interested in to listen about Parkinson’s or neuroscience, in general, this Wednesday 2/19/2020 from 7 to 8 pm in Life Science 038. Hope to see you there!

Pre-Health Advising

Hello everyone! This week we will have Jennifer Hecker from the Pre-Health Advising Center join us. She will be talking to us about the importance of extracurricular activities and how being a part of an organization or team is beneficial to our future. This will be a great opportunity for people to ask her questions about how to become involved on campus and how to stand out as an applicant when applying to medical school or higher level education. If you have a hard time getting an appointment with the Pre-Health Advising center, this would be a great opportunity for you guys to ask all your questions. A Look Inside Dr. Lerner’s Lab

Hello everyone! This week were having Caroline Freden, a full time lab coordinator at Dr. Matthew Lerner’s lab in the Psychology Department. Dr. Lerner’s lab uses methods drawn from basic development, social neuroscience, developmental psychopathy, and controlled trials research to explore how basic, often novel processes impact social development. She will be talking about Dr. Lerner’s lab and what roles and responsibilities are entailed. Hope to see you guys this Wednesday 7-8 pm in Life Sciences 038!

Hello everyone! This week we’re hosting a little Advice Night! Join us to learn and be advised on academic, prehealth, and neuroscience research. It will be taking place at 7 PM at Life Sciences 038. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

De-Stress Night

Hey everyone! After the first wave of midterms, we figured it’d be nice to have a destress night to unwind and celebrate before the next wave. Come join us this wednesday, 7 PM at Life Sciences 038 to paint, listen to music, and clay mold. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

MD/PhD Student Panel

Hey everyone! This Wednesday, Lillian Talbot will be joining Neuroscience Axis to share with us her experience as being a MD/PhD student. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the medical career path and how to make the most of your undergraduate years to make the transition into medicine. You will also be able to ask the speaker your own questions! If you’re interested in preparing for medical school, come join us from 7-8pm at Life Sciences 038. We look forward to seeing you there!

Research Workshop

Hey everyone! This week we will be hosting a research workshop. We will walk you through the steps of getting involved in research on campus. Also, it’s a great opportunity to learn how to contact professors about their research. Join us this Wednesday, September 25th from 7-8pm at Life Science 038 to learn more! Bring your resumé to be checked over and any questions you have about the process.
